Sara Dover, PA-C

Sara Dover is a Psychiatric Physician Associate and Exercise Physiologist with advanced training in mental health care and health behavior change. She provides medication management for adults who want to feel heard, supported, and actively involved in their treatment — not rushed through it. Many clients come to Sara feeling overwhelmed, unsure how to describe what they’re experiencing, or frustrated by past care that didn’t feel collaborative. Sara takes a thoughtful, comprehensive approach, creating space to slow down, ask meaningful questions, and understand the full picture of what’s going on. She believes effective psychiatric care should align with a client’s values and lived experience. When appropriate, Sara integrates lifestyle medicine — including movement and exercise — alongside medication management to support long-term wellbeing.

Sara holds a Masters of Medical Science from Mercer University and is a Board Certified Physician Associate. She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in exercise physiology, with graduate research focused on how physical activity can reduce depression symptoms and support long-term mental wellness. Sara has been recognized nationally by the Physician Associate Education Association as a leader in education. Her clinical experience spans several roles within Emory, as well as inpatient psychiatry and home-based medical care.
